Estate of Todd and Lucille Webb The Todd Webb Estate was established as a private enterprise devoted to maintain Webb’s archive, prints, negatives and correspondence after the death of Todd Webb’s wife, Lucille Webb in 2008 in accordance with the artist’s wishes. Aspiring to support the study and appreciation of Webb’s photographic work as well as a comprehensive understanding of Webb as a photographer, the Estate is the primary resource for research and scholarship on Webb’s photographs. To further the preservation and appreciation of Webb’s legacy, the Estate endeavors to place vintage prints and archival material in museum, library and photography collections as well as with private collectors. All images by Todd Webb are signed, with the exception of estate prints that are stamped on verso and initialed by Betsy Evans Hunt, sole representative to the Estate of Todd Webb. Estate prints are considered to be a part of the modern editions. Photographs in the Estate are available for purchase, please see our contact page.
Current Projects: In Process Internship program The Estate offers unpaid internships for students – high school to graduate school – dedicated to learning more about photography. Interns contribute to Estate projects and daily activities such as inventorying, archiving, digital imaging and exhibitions. If you are interested in participating in any of the Estate activities, or would like additional information, feel free to contact us at: info@toddwebbphotographs.com
“In my opinion, photography is many different things to different people and many aspects and uses. Almost unlimitedin potential. It can be a means of communication, illustration, education, expression, conservation and more. It can be simple, complex, thoughtful, trite, realistic, abstract, humorous or sad.” - Todd Webb
